Over the 3 day break that we had due to the snow, I had lots of time on my hands. My mom decided not to go to the grocery store, because it was too crowded and we had everything at home. She was wrong. All we had was three boxes of oatmeal, some chips, can goods, some other food in the fridge. As a result, I ate oatmeal every morning, and sometimes for lunch. I soon got tired of the same oatmeal, so I looked up some add ons to give it different flavors. The three that I show below, were the ones that tasted the best in my opinion.
- Cacao Sweet Nibs- Not only does this ingredient taste amazing in oatmeal, but it is so healthy for you! Chocolate in its purest form is one of the powerful super-foods. Cacao sweet Nibs are literally just the Cacao bean broken into pieces, and these beans are packed with anti-oxidants. Since these beans taste like dark chocolate, the oatmeal taste like a dessert, instead of a super-food packed meal!
- Maca Powder- Maca powder is delicious! If you make stir-fry put this into it, it taste amazing. Ok, in oatmeal Maca powder is really easy to stir into it, Maca powder is also packed with mineral, amino acids, and energy boosters.
- Golden Berries- Golden Berries are sour, and contain carotenes and Bioflavonoids are known for strengthening your immune system, and reducing inflammation. Golden Berries, also are known for containing vitamin A, C, protein, and phosphorous.
