Hi i am Kaylin, this is my first blog post on my blog. Over the summer I was assigned to read 3 books, Divergent, Knife of Never Letting Go, and my choice book which was Sold. I enjoyed all three of these books, especially Divergent by Veronica Roth. She wrote the book very well. It captured you and left cliff hangers from the beginning. I noticed that some of the factions resembled groups in school, which I funny. I especially like Tobias', and Tris' relationship. It was nice how they a romance when the book was so intense and made at least one thing right. Though the romance was a little cliche and called for it still made the book good. The thing that confused me though, was how Al killed himself. I get that he was depressed and hated his faction, but why didn't he just go live with the faction less. I just didn't get it.
What I liked most about this book was how the author described the book. She went really in depth with the setting and Tris' thoughts. It was really captivating from the start, and thats what kept me reading. Another thing I liked especially well was how there factions kind of like the districts in the Hunger Games each one served some what of a purpose, but I liked it. Even though they the author of copied the Hunger Games a little. Overall I would rate this book 9, for its depicted description the author gives, the plot line, and the setting.
