- Light Candles- This is an obvious way of "cooling down". I always enjoy the smell of them, and it is natural way to calm down.
- Read a Book- Reading a book can let you escape from your world and enter a new one, and let you become the protagonist. Relieving the stress and helping you take your mind off things. It is like an escape.
- Drinking Tea- Natural remedies are a common choice for stress. Drinking tea is a way of slowing down your life, which when I am stress I need. It also is a way being hydrated. Which decreases anxiety.
- Listening to music- Especially calming music always reduces my anxiety. It takes my minds off things and lets me get lost into the song. The songs serene melody lets me relax and get lost in my own self.
- Taking 5- For panic attacks, it is always advised to take 5. Breathe, focus on the moment and focus on your breathe, think of the now, not of the future or the past, just the present. Focus on inhaling and exhaling, focus on your heartbeat, all the things your body is coming in contact to, focus on what you here, what you see, and what you feel. After a while when your heart rate goes down, you become tranquil.
- Yoga- I have loved yoga since the first class I have taken and always have loved it. Its stretching and relaxing has always relaxed me and made me feel good. Especially the cow and cat pose. As it stretches my spine and inhale into the cate pose and exhale into the cow.
- Taking a nap- When all else fails sleep. As this is a temporary solution, it helps you think and lets your mind rest. It can think things and you can be uncertain of what you want before and certain of what you want after the nap.
- Running/Exercise- Running is a release for me. When I am build up with stress I run and let it all sweat out. As my body releases itself from the anxiety that world has given me. I feel better afterwards and not only does this make you feel better after, you also are burning the McDonalds hamburger you ate for lunch today.
- Ponder- Think. Think about your situation think of the solution and all the obstacles you might face to reach your goal. Thinking also will create goals for yourself which will you be organized in the future, and will also detox yourself from pressure. It will help you figure things out.

Kaylin, I love your post! I had no clue that all those things can help me with my anxiety and stress. I'm going to have to start doing some of those things!
ReplyDeleteKaylin, what a great idea for a free post! I like how you are incorporating images in your posts and writing them like they are meant to be read. The design of your blog is just lovely, too.
